The Van Rijn building is located in building 025 on the former navy base in the city center of Amsterdam.
There is an exceptional peace at the Marine Etablissement, so close to the historic center of the city. The combination of different companies, start ups and interesting initiatives on the 'Old Navy Land' offers a friendly and innovative atmosphere. This quiet place is an oasis in the center of the capital where the turmoil remains completely outside.
Located on the IJ with a beautiful view of the water and the skyline of Amsterdam, the old navy base is an exceptional and historic place to stay.
Upon entering the area you arrive in a small park where building 006, Pension Homeland Hotel & Restaurant is located. Our Van Rijn location is a few hundred meters away. 28 rooms are available for guests. Expats, students, graduates, academics, trainees, professionals or just for vacation, everyone is mostly welcome.
As with building 006, where Pension Homeland is located, the building 025 was designed in the 60s. However, this sister building was completely renovated in 2011 and adapted to modern standards. There are 21 rooms and 4 apartments that we have redesigned for extended stay. We offer you a stay of a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 5 months + 30 days.
As a guest you are welcome to enjoy our restaurant in Pension Homeland, located in building 006. Here you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner (view the menu here), and, of course, taste our home-made beers. Feel free to listen to one of the concerts that take place on various evenings.
We are very proud of our fitness garden that was built in April 2018. Located next to the building, complete with four power machines and two large climbing machines, you can do all kinds of exercises and start or end your day with a decent workout.
We offer different types of rooms: the extended stay rooms (small and large) and the apartments.
All of the rooms are intended for single use. If you want to stay with two people, ask us about the possibilities. All our apartments are equipped for double use.
Van Rijn has its own host that welcomes you, shows you the way and helps you with all kinds of questions to find your way through the city.
We also have various work and meeting rooms for small or large groups. Ask any of our staff members for more information.
